We had an HM Digital engineer stop by Aquatic Warehouse to showcase their new super accurate and easy to use SAL-1700 hand – held testing meter. We were quickly impressed with how accurate and fast the display was. We checked this model against an open bottle of S.G. reagent. The HM rep asked us to open a new bottle of reagent and through cross checking found that our refractometers and other digital testers were indeed off by .009! This thing is sweet! The only drawback is that you must rinse the small testing service with DI water and wipe it off with a micro fiber to keep it accurate. This only makes sense if you want a true reading.
